Jury duty was one of the most unique things I have ever experienced. I posted a little while ago about it but I didn't say much about it. That is because the Judge forbade us from posting on Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc. anything about jury duty, even stating that we were on it. I had already updated Facebook before he said that so I decided the best thing to do would be just to not mention any details on the blog post. While I was at the Courthouse (photo below) I was interviewed by the news about using technology as a juror. Last night they aired the program and I wanted to let you know I (believe it or not) care about our court system which is why I didn't tell you any of this before. It was interesting to see how it really works. It is not the most efficient process and it is full of strange people deciding other people's fate. I was on two panels both of which were criminal cases and it was eye opening. On the news debut, they filmed the room I was in while the judge was talking and then they did some interviews during our lunch break. I am proud to be an American...truly....most of the time.

ReplyDeleteRead the newspaper article and watched the News broadcast. You sounded very intelligent and thoughtful (of course) And the glasses are a nice intellectual touch. How long did the trial last, did ya hang 'em?
