Sadly it's summertime, so I'll have to put it in my sweater dresser (this actually exists) until fall. Until then, Tim 1, Penguins 0.

Sewing Project
So I bought a sweater off of eBay last winter, but when I got it the sleeves were pretty baggy. Apparently the previous owner thought he could squeeze into a medium. Basically the sweater was unbearable, so I put it away on the sewing shelf for Anna to fix. Then I remembered yesterday that Anna stinks at sewing and trying new things in general, so if this was going to get done, I was going to have to do it myself. I didn't "sweat" it though. I realize now I should have taken a before shot, because it was in pretty bad shape. Just imagine twice the amount of fabric in the bicep area. Anyways, I took both sleeves off and slimmed them down quite a bit and then reattached them. It's not perfect, but I think it will work. Here's the final product:

Back to the Grind
Well, we took a break from the blog. June was a busy month and then as many of you know we it was also a rough month with the miscarriage. I just wanted to say many thanks to everyone for sending cards, flowers, chocolates, and well wishes. I know that no one from my work even knows about this blog but they were so great to us, as always, and it would have been much more difficult without their support and coverage at the office. Our families have been really great, especially my sister. We love you and are lucky to have all of you. Four days after it happened I had to go to youth conference as a leader and it was actually therapeutic to be around so many teenagers who couldn't care less about my problems. They were very concerned about how they looked, why the food was so gross, and who they were going to dance with. It made me nostalgic for my own care free days in St. George which brought back many great memories and was at the very least distracting.
So...as we move on to the rest of the summer we are feeling optimistic about the future and blessed to have so many great people in our lives. Tim is back to his usual self and will most likely be updating the blog soon with inappropriate sarcasm, at least that is how I describe it.
