I was feeling under the weather so I didn't post any of our great fall happenings.
Chicago
Day out in Chicago. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, Millennium Park, The Art Institute, walked along the lake shore, and lunched at The Gage. It was a fabulous family day.
Dump Trucks
Max watched this for quite some time.
Havenwoods State Park
My friend Lorri introduced me to a hidden secret right near the ghetto. It is beautiful and I can't wait to head back in the summer. Who would have thought this could be found right off of Silver Spring?
Nauvoo
I took a trip to Nauvoo with my friends Jenny & Katie. It was awesome. We couldn't decide between a weekend in Vegas or a weekend in Nauvoo.
Both would be so similar so we picked Nauvoo since it's closer. We left our kids for a weekend, toured the sites, went to a session at the Temple, ate at a buffet. I haven't been back to Nauvoo since I was a student at BYU Nauvoo. It was a lot of fun. The tours are so bad, they are so historically inaccurate. It's kind of humorous until you realize it's a bit pathetic. But the Temple does not disappoint. It was my first time doing a session there and was a great, great experience.
