I was bored this last Saturday afternoon, and lazy. I was trying to watch something on TV, but nothing is worth watching on Saturday afternoons. It was so bad that I was mildly disappointed by the fact that Track & Field was advertised on NBC, but there was only an infomercial on. I sat watching, hoping it was just a long commercial, but it ended up filling the whole hour. This one was for this (I think), a combo of every other George Foreman grill impersonator, before and after.
-Side note. This lady is probably my favorite infomercial host. That red hair can really move product. I feel like she got her start on the magic bullet ad.
As I sat there watching this, and I’ve seen quite a few of these infomercials in my life, I thought, “Why do they always make the same exact thing?” Their demo foods are always omelet (preferably one Denver omelet, one ham and cheese), stuffed chicken breast one side/stuffed meat on the other side, some cake concoction with a candy bar in the middle, and a Mexican (usually a quesadilla) and an Italian dish (usually pizza) to spread out the demographics. Is this all the American public is eating? Omelets? Who is eating an omelet on a regular basis? Well, I hope Anna likes them, because I got it for her birthday.
